Computational Infrastructure for Geodynamics

I act as technical lead for the Computational Infrastructure for Geodynamics, teaching and implementing best practices for software development and community management.

ASPECT

I am one of the maintainers for the free modeling software ASPECT (Advanced Solver for Problems in Earth’s Convection). ASPECT combines modern software development techniques to allow for more sophisticated and better tested geodynamic modelling studies.

Deal.II

As consequence of my work on ASPECT I contribute to the finite-element library deal.II whenever contributions to ASPECT are of use to a bigger and more diverse community.

Rayleigh

I contribute to the geodynamo modeling software Rayleigh. Rayleigh provides highly scalable algorithms for the modeling of planetary and stellar dynamos and their resulting magnetic fields.
